Under the motto "Give deaf people in the metal sector a voice", bbw gGmbH is developing digital tools for hearing-impaired and deaf employees in the metal sector together with nine other European partners. Together we have set ourselves the goal of expanding the technical know-how of the employees concerned and improving communication in production.

In 2020, seminars on the topics of water, wastewater, renewable energies, regional development and tourism were held with great success with funding from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs

2020 started very well. Then the outbreak of the Corona crisis confronted the project team with major challenges. Thanks to creative ideas, motivated partners and the switch to digital, activities in South Africa were able to continue.

Since 5 October 2020, 120 young adults between the ages of 18 and 24, including 53 young women, have been taking part in a practice-oriented short qualification programme through the Berufliche Fortbildungszentren der bayerischen Wirtschaft - bfz gGmbH.

Despite restrictions due to the COVID pandemic, UREPP (Uganda Refugee Employment Promotion Project/Bina Uganda) is taking off. The first mobilisation activities are already showing great success.

On 17 September 2020, a first working meeting between the bbw, represented by Mr Chokri Guellali, and the National Federation of Construction Entrepreneurs, represented by Mr Jamel Ksibi, Mr Mahdi Fakhfakh and Mr Fakher Smaoui, took place in the presence of Radio Med journalist Amine Dhebaibi.

A total of 9 Brazilian municipalities have been awarded as TOP 100 Green Destinations (sustainable destinations) for 2020. The special: These municipalities are all part of the DEL Turismo programme, which, together with the Bildungswerk der bayerischen Wirtschaft (bbw) gGbmH, supports the local economic and sustainable development of tourism in these communities. The project is funded by SEQUA - partners of the German economy and by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Training course in Wildpoldsried: "Digitisation of course content"

In september a 2-week training in blended learning format in pneumatics and hydraulics took place. In virtual classroom sessions, self-study units and practical training units teachers from 3 vocational schools learned the basics of pneumatics and hydraulics in an practice-oriented way.
