Digitisation of a training course in Mozambique successfully initiated

As part of the project "Pro Ensino Híbrido" - Promotion of Blended Learning in Vocational Training in Mozambique, the International Department of bbw gGmbH, in cooperation with sequa, initiated the digitisation of 12 modules with a total of 83 teaching units for the two training courses Ship and Cargo Agents and Port Operators at the Instituto Nautico e Portuário in Beira, Mozambique.

In order to get an idea of the progress of the work, the project manager responsible in Germany, Angie Dröber, visited the project and her colleague Hans Schröder in Mozambique and talked with the latter as well as the director of the Instituto Nautico, Leonardo Cossa, the project partner AMEPP (Associação Moçambicana de Educação Profissional Privada) and the digitisation teams. During a presentation of the modules digitised so far, she was impressed about the excellent work of the young teams. The content was not only visually but also pedagogically sensible and structured and offers real added value to the previously purely paper-based training materials. With the digitised content, the students can independently repeat what they have learned in class and also do exercises to test their knowledge. The modules are prepared in such a way that they can be optimally accessed and worked on with a laptop as well as with a smartphone. We are pleased about the very committed work of the young teams and hope that bbw can continue this important work for vocational training in Mozambique in some way.
