Don Bosco Mekanissa: Best Vocational Training Centre in Addis Ababa

The bbw partner in the BINA project Ethiopia - Don Bosco Mekanissa - is voted the best vocational training centre in Addis Ababa by the City Government of Addis Ababa Education & Training Quality Regulatory Authority.

During the unannounced inspections, the inspectors certified the training centre's excellent performance in the organisation, implementation and quality of the training courses and awarded it the highest target achievement of all audited training centres with 94.26 %. 

Both the Dean and the teaching and administrative team are very proud of this award and also attribute it to the support from the BINA project. 

At the same time, new courses in metalworking, electrics, plumbing and graphic design started at the beginning of March for about 140 students. For the profiling, prior to the courses, in which individual and often not directly visible competences of the new students are determined, a bbw project manager was on site for 1 week and accompanied the team of teachers together with a local consultant. Here, too, it became clear that the organisation and implementation of events have improved enormously in the past two years.
