Exploratory talks in Zagreb

Volker Falch, Head of International Department, and Janine Mayr, Project Coordinator, visited the Chamber of Crafts in Zagreb in the context of an exploratory trip with the District Administrator of Cham, Mr. Franz Löffler and a representative of the economic development agency from Cham, Mrs. Isabella Bauer.

The Zagreb School of Crafts had invited to the meeting.  All attendees, including the President of the Zagreb Chamber of Crafts, Mr. Mirza Šabić, the President of the Association of Craftsmen, the President of the Vocational Training Committee and the head of the craftsmen's school, discussed possibilities for joint projects. 

One topic was support and cooperation in the recruitment process of apprentices and skilled workers for the labour market in the Cham region. Recruiting EU specialists could counteract the shortage of skilled workers as well as strengthen Bavarian-Croatian relations.

Furthermore, additional possibilities for cooperation in the field of vocational education and training were discussed. Among other things, joint Erasmus+ mobility programmes.
