First site visits to Tunisia by bbw delegation from Germany

After the previous activities due to Corona were exclusively digital, the regular entry possibility exists again since July. Therefore a delegation of the bbw project management Mrs. Ardjelan and the long-term expert Mr. Guellali travelled to Tunisia from 20.07. to 25.07.

They were accompanied by two other experts from the bbw group. The aim was to visit all partner schools in order to establish personal network structures and to clarify open project questions. The bbw experts also wanted to gather direct impressions for the actual development of curricula content. For this purpose, an initial exchange on the local labor market needs, target group, infrastructure and challenges took place with the local working groups. Except for the partner school in Gabés, 5 VET schools could be visited. Alternatively, the contact persons from Gabés took part in the discussions in Mahrés. 

In addition, Ms Ardjelan and Mr Guellali took the opportunity to exchange ideas with the new General Director of the Tunisian vocational training agency "Agence tunisienne de la formation professionnelle". The Economic Cooperation Officer of the German Embassy in Tunisia and a high-ranking representative of the Tunisian Ministry of Education and Labor also took part in the meeting. During the talks, all sides stressed the importance of the German-Tunisian cooperation for local vocational training. The involvement of the private sector, which is also the focus of the German-Tunisian School of Crafts, was particularly emphasized.
