Online courses for medium-sized companies or: how do I properly install a spit protection?

How do we deal with necessary protective measures in production? What about our sanitary facilities? What actions can we improve in the sector of transport and how can we give our employees practical instructions for the implementation? Many companies worldwide ask themselves these questions in order to counteract a (renewed) spread of the corona virus.

In Tunisia too, enterprises had to implement quick and efficient measures to protect the staff. Therefor the Bildungswerk der Bayerischen Wirtschaft (bbw) organized training courses on behalf of the GIZ and in the framework of the project “Job partnerships and SME support” by the special initiative Training and Employment of BMZ online courses. These are addressed to persons responsible for production, quality and human resources as well as the shift supervisors in the production department of medium-sized automotive suppliers. Since mid-May the training courses have been available as well as online materials for the purposes of illustration such as posters etc. and not only for companies but also for universities in order to also ensure sufficient corona protection for educational operations.

The presentations offer practical instructions for specific topics such as handling in production, sanitary rooms and transport. Checklists and poster templates support the flow of information. Those deal with washing and disinfection procedures for staff and visitors as well as attaching a spit protection or floor markings for maintaining distance. An example is the article picture. It shows a poster for the unrecommended joint use of tools. The lettering means “I love my colleague, therefor I don’t lend him any tools.” Along with the LEAN experts of POP, bbw has developed customized presentations and documents which meet the requirements of the Tunisian Government.

So far, 15 companies with more than 2,650 employees took part in the courses, 23 universities and higher education institutes such as ISET (technical university) Djerba have also received further training in corona protective measures and concept development.
