Re-evaluation trip to Senegal

Anne Oertel, project coordinator of the international department of bfz gGmbH, met with representatives of vocational education in Senegal. She exchanged previous experiences in the fields of vocational education and vocational orientation between Bavaria and Senegal and explored further needs and possibilities for cooperation.

Ms. Oertel visited the Ministry of Vocational education as well as vocational schools. She conducted coordination meetings with various stakeholders and gave a training course on the subject of "Instruments of vocational orientation" for employees of the National Vocational Orientation Service (SNOP- Service National de l'Orientation Professionnelle).  

The Senegal trip in March 2018 served to re-evaluate a former technical seminar and explore future cooperation opportunities.  

On behalf of the Bavarian State Chancellery, the bfz organised the technical seminar "Vocational Training in Germany" last year for a delegation of representatives from the Senegalese Ministry of Vocational Education and Training. The group consisted of 18 delegates from the Ministry of Vocational Education and Training, representatives of vocational schools and industry associations.
