The current Vocational Education and Training Partnership with Tunisia runs until the end of 2018. A steering meeting was held with all project partners from 12.-13. July 2018 to jointly plan the last six months.
A total of four meetings of this kind have already taken place within the framework of the project. This time, however, the aim was to discuss not only the planning of upcoming activities but also the first results of the evaluation mission in April 2018 and to adapt current implementation structures in line with the expert's recommendations. In addition to the vocational schools, the competent authority ATFP (Agence Tunisienne de la formation professionnelle) and the employers' association UTICA (Union Tunisienne de l'Industrie, Commerce et d'Artisanat), five private companies took part in the event.
As a result, joint milestones for the rest of the year were worked out. At the same time, the partners defined new areas of responsibility and appointed the appropriate persons in charge. A particular focus was on the organisational structures and ensuring the flow of information between all project participants. This should ensure the active involvement of all stakeholders and support the recommended establishment of standardized training processes at all levels of the partners.
