Training for Tunisian waste management sector

As part of the bbw project "Environmental School Tunisia", two local experts carried out a needs analysis in 10 Tunisian municipalities on 14 professions in waste management. The aim was to determine the existing skills of the employees and to derive the training needs in the field of waste management. The results were presented and discussed in the Tunisian Ministry of Local Affairs and Environment.

Based on the findings, curricula are developed with appropriate pedagogical-didactic materials for each profession and certified by the relevant authorities. These are then implemented in respective training modules at local training centres. The first two-week training course on occupational safety is already taking place. 

The bbw Group is implementing the project "Tunisia Environmental School" in cooperation with the Tunisian Ministry of Local Affairs and the Environment. The project is financed by the Bavarian State Chancellery.
